When Lolly and Kris were in town, I got to play with their wide-angle lens, and I’ve fallen in love. Hard.

I felt some food eye candy was in order. Enough with this pretty nature stuff. . . . It’s tea time (with champagne, of course).

It was 75 degrees and utterly, completely, 100% perfect weather yesterday. Unfortunately, it’s due to be rainy and chilly today. It’s so nice to have photos, isn’t it?

A Friday chocolate fix. . . . Fudgy, gooey Ghirardelli brownie mix with 1 teaspoon of instant espresso powder added.

All this week has been about satisfying my every food craving. Monday–homemade scones; Tuesday–a Subway sub; Wednesday–Japanese rice in tofu pockets; Thursday–fried dumplings; and Friday–a BLT with avocado. YUM.

Before spring takes over completely, I’m happily remembering the fabulous snowstorm from two weeks ago. We haven’t had nearly the amount of snow the Midwest has been socked with, so I’m savoring every flake.

Took a walk along the East River, Bobby Wagner Walk (along FDR Drive), with a friend and played with my zoom lens.

I went for the same walk just 9 days later, and what a difference a sunny day makes! I couldn’t resist taking photos of all the same things as the eye candy friday from 2 weeks ago. Compare for yourself!

Let this be a reminder that it’s as worth it to get out there on a gray cloudy day as it is on a beautiful, sunny day. (I swear to you, those top photos are of the exact same thing on the exact same bridge. That one surprised me the most.)
