I have a great, simple and relatively convincing-tasting laksa recipe from a student cookbook I picked up somewhere along the way... it's completely not gourmet (and the ingredients include packet ramen) but very cheap and quick. Let me know if you'd like a copy! I hope on one of these trips to the asia-pacific you will visit Oz one day. We have food here too you know! And a great songwriter called Mal Webb who wrote a whole song about laksa! (lyrics are here: http://malwebb.customer.netspace.net.au/laksa.html) Mmm, laksa.
