Ooooh, I love the red spine of the icosahedron! The more I see these (with bokeh babies! the cuteness!), the more I'm yearning to knit one.

When my nephew was younger, someone in my family gave him a toy shaped like these, but it had a vibrating thingy in it. It was disturbing to watch him hold the thing and shake. I much prefer this softer, gentler version!

Violet and Charlotte are beautiful names, by the way. Though I know that's not the point of this post.

Seeing these knitted toys in action makes me want to rededicate myself to the Knitpicks Crayon in my stash. I don't know that I'm up for mathematically fancy shapes, but I could probably manage a ball or a square or something. Even though that probably means I'd be dooming the baby to remedial math class for life.

Hey, where in snowy Connecticut were you? Probably not near me as snow CT was cut short by rainy CT. Blech. I think any mom of twins should be considered a hero. It sounds like you had a good visit!

Awesome baby pictures! I love seeing babies with their knitted goods. Thanks for reminding me about the dodecahedron pattern. I think that's just what my baby needs. :)

::squee:: Babies! With awesome mathematical baby toys! I think knitting toys in lieu of clothes for the fast-growing wee ones is a fabulous idea.
