Tough break on the Sunrise Jacket being one size too small for your mom - it looks wonderful, though, and of course she loved it - #1 you made it, and #2 it's gorgeous!

The Nautie is hilarious. Perfect baby shower gift!

Oh no! Are you sure it's too small? It just looks trim and tailored in the photo. I don't think you should take it out; I think you should set it aside as another gift for someone sometime and knit your mom a new one. That way at least knitting it twice yields you two finished objects.

Sorry to hear about the up and down weekend.

Oh no! That is a sad story! I know that the second one will be a winner though!

Next time you are in Columbia, you will let me know, right? :) Where did you go to high school?

Best wishes (and love the little Project Spectrum Nautilus!)

Too bad about your Sunrise Circle. I wish there were a few more measurements on the schematic. I think it would be helpful to know the width of each front section in order to get the appropriate size.

I'm sorry to hear about the jacket. The news was painful, no doubt. You will be able to whip up the second version in no time.

No gas shortages in Texas yet.

Aw, you're such a good daughter. As a consolation prize, the slightly too small jacket looks great on your mom! She'll love one in a size up.

1. New glasses are totally cute! I love them.

2. Again, condolences on the SCJ. That's rough. What a good daughter, though.

3. I love that you made Nautie as a baby gift. She does not need more blankets.

4. No apparent gas shortages here in Northeast Ohio. But it is at about $2.90 a gallon for the cheap stuff.

Your second sock is already looking great. My husband would love your photo--he's a big Eagles fan.
