they weren’t exaggerating about the snow

Published by Mintyfresh at 7:40 am under food, life, socks

Please tell me people are going to make it to my party. I have 300 cookies, people. 300! But there’s sticky, deep snow out there—and it’s still coming down. Sigh.

In knitting news, because of the snow last night, I made a TON of progress on my Pomatomus. It’s challenging on various levels, I’m discovering:

1. I am knitting it on dpns.
2. I am knitting it on size 1 dpns (damn are they sharp).
3. Sometimes my yos are coming out too big or too small, and I’m frogging in order to fix.
4. I’m learning how to easily fix a messed up ktbl (not as easy as a plain k).

Basically, I’ve taken out various lengths (never the whole thing) about 5 times, perfectionist that I am. I’m really really happy with the way it’s turning out, though. I’m already to the heel!

Looks awesome! The colors really come out with the pattern. I’m in Philly too and didn’t believe that the snow was gonna stick, but damn! I can’t believe the forecasters were right. First time for everything.

Oh my! That is some serious snow. I hope people come to your party! Cookies sound like just the thing on a snowy day. :)

Your socks are beautiful. That yarn is perfect. What are you using, or did I miss that?

I hope everyone shows up for your party! Two months with no snow and it has to go and blizzard on your V-day party.

The socks are looking great, though, and no bad weather can take that away from you! :)
