I'll be asking for gift certificates from other folks--but mom always likes to give tangible stuff, or maybe I prefer tangibles from my parents. But that is an excellent idea.

And it might seem Zen, but I spend too much time stressing about everything else I want to do while I'm finishing the current project!

You are an inspiration. I am one of those "yarn harlots" that cannot stay faithful to one project at a time. I always have multiple things going. But I may give your method a try. This one-thing-at-a-time has a certain Zen appeal to me. :)

Can't wait to see Pam. Also: idea for your mom for birthday present -- KnitPicks gift certificate.
